What is this Book About?
In a chaotic world filled with constantly shifting beliefs, just a spark of curiosity for God's steadfast and eternal truth can erupt into a wildfire of miraculous life transformation, bringing hope and light to any darkness.

God, truth, faith, hope and love. What does it all mean? Why does it even matter? This book is a powerful personal testimony about the goodness of God. A raw, down-to-earth, bare-bones book that asks the reader to consider some important eternal questions, regardless of past experiences. Why do you believe as you do? Are you missing something? Is there more?

It’s Big, Really Big

I’ve struggled with anxiety, amongst other issues and was extremely shy when younger. I went to Sunday School and church on occasion. Now, I’ve been an Assistant Pastor and I’m an author. It’s been an interesting ride, for sure, and this is my first-ever book. It contains the fruit of years of life experiences, ideas and revelation (there's a video interview with me below if you're interested - you must authorise cookies).

This is an invitation to stop for a moment, take a breath, take stock of your life and give a thought to God and what the eternal future holds. No, I’m not a scholar and I don’t hold any special credentials. However, I do have a story to tell.

Chapter One
Don't Start There
The Balcony (Part One)
I expected some escalation, but this was ridiculous. I never saw it coming. The sense of failure and complete helplessness overtook me; it was thick, heavy and miserable. I’m not typically emotional, but at that moment, I was experiencing many uncomfortable emotions. Dark, noisy thoughts spewing out of deep shock and despair enhanced them. To compound the situation, I found myself on the balcony of our rented 18th-floor apartment. It was a million-dollar view, with the ocean filling much of the image captured by my eyes. The rest of the scene consisted of the white sandy beach that drew a thick line by the sea. The view was interrupted by the many nearby buildings and decorated with deceivingly slow-moving traffic. Life was still moving. Right now, the only thing I was really seeing was the pool way down below. I wondered what would happen if I jumped. Would I miss the pool? Would it be quick?
