Rolling green hills to play on is a nice thought. I recently came across a video which sheds some light on what King David (who wrote the Psalm) may have had in mind at the time. If we had everything we need and never faced danger, lack or obstacles in our lives, we wouldn’t need a shepherd, the Lord. Alas, this is not so. By following the Lord, allowing Him to lead us, He takes care of us and meets all our needs. Check out this short video that demonstrates the power in this Psalm.
