Hello! I am Rebecca or Rebel as I am known from my newsletter, Rebel’s Heart Channels and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our online home, Stop For A Moment: Choose the Laneway for life! My family calls me Rebel although it was always said that I am nothing like a Rebel. However, I am a fighter, a warrior of sorts. I go to my prayer closet often and from that place, I have developed a steely determination and demonstrated this in many areas of my life. You see, I live with a disability. The disability is called Schizophrenia. From a place of despair, I have looked to Jesus and know that is where my help comes from. I pray that you will be encouraged to challenge the status quo and embrace the life and future Jesus has for you too. May you find your place in His Kingdom.
I often say to myself when life throws a curve ball: "I declare that serenity is having the Spirit of acceptance and walking the miracle mile." I have fought hard in the grace of Jesus Christ to have the life that I wanted for so long. A life where I am privileged to serve Jesus and follow His dreams for me. I have a husband, Troy, and we have a son too. Troy and our son are both rocks of stability and sanity in my life. A life that can rage like a storm at times. We also have a little Maltese x Shih Tzu dog that blesses us every day. I have achieved in life what most people would say that I couldn’t do or have. I know the goodness of Jesus Christ in a real way.
Life has also allowed me to enjoy the love of learning. I used to be a teacher. I even homeschooled our son for a while. I am a believer in learning through play and becoming lifelong learners in the process.
Studied up to and completed the level of a Master in Education.
Studied to be a Practitioner of Life Coaching.
Studied Kids Coaching with Kidpreneurs.
Mental Health.
Business studies.
A desire to study Health and Nutrition.
I serve in the church in various capacities.
I look forward to sharing our journey and dreams with you.
